SIRENZ

Classic dub/jungle siren -- warbling carrier, siren-pattern bank, dub echo.

Overview

SIRENZ is a dedicated siren synth: a carrier oscillator (sine/tri/square/saw) is warbled by a dedicated pitch-sweep LFO or an authentic siren-pattern bank (WAIL, YELP, WARBLE, PHASER, HI-LO, EU-PO, WHOOP, YEOW, AIRR -- rates modelled on the Federal Signal SelecTone library).

On top of that: an FM modulator with a trigger-decayed index, a noise layer, a rotor CHOP for vintage motor-siren throb, and a built-in dub echo with tempo sync, feedback damping and ping offset.

Trigger modes: GATE (sounds while held), TRIG (one-shot), LATCH (toggle). Voicing is MONO (legato glide) or POLY.

Control Reference

ControlWhat it does

1. The whole instrument

SIRENZ: siren controls centre, control panel + presets left, FX chain + LFO rack right, keyboard bottom.

2. The siren engine

The centre grid is one flat control surface -- the TRIG pad sits first for one-shot firing.

  1. The control grid: trigger/voicing/wave first, then tuning, the siren pattern bank and sweep LFO, FM, noise, envelope, echo, and the output stage.

  2. Pick WAIL on the SIREN select -- the pattern bank takes over the pitch trajectory. PAT RT speeds it up.

  3. CHOP adds the mechanical rotor throb -- crank it for that cold-war air-raid feel, keep it low for modern dub sirens.

  4. The ECHO section is a tempo-aware dub delay -- ECHO SYNC locks the repeats, PING offsets them for the classic left-right bounce.

3. Every control: siren core

Trigger modes, carrier and the siren pattern bank -- order follows the grid.

  1. MODE -- GATE sounds while a key is held; TRIG fires a one-shot that decays on its own; LATCH toggles the siren on/off per key press.
